Community Foundation For Merseyside
www.cfmerseyside.org.uk
The Community Foundation for Merseyside offers a service to people or organisations who want to give to local causes on Merseyside. It works in Partnership with major funders, donors, local business and other organisations, to help them learn about the most worthwhile local causes and how to give money in an effective way, funding projects that reflect a real community need and helping Merseyside tackle modern social issues.

The Foundation provides grants to voluntary and community groups who are working to improve their local community. One such grant scheme is the Green Machine fund which offers grants of up to £500 (more may be available for exceptional projects) for projects that in some way enhance, conserve or improve the natural environment of Wirral. Funding for this programme has been provided by Unilever UK. The priorities of the fund include nature conservation, greening urban areas, tackling pollution, aiding recycling and producing environmental art. Possible projects may include improving local community wasteland, cleaning up a local grot spot, creating a nature trail or protection of existing wildlife habitats. For more information please contact the Foundation on 0151 966 3551.
